Workshop for children at Orti Dipinti with Pietre di Rapolano
Last Friday, June 12, we held our Children’s Workshop organized in collaboration with Orti Dipinti, the Community Garden of Florence, a splendid green space located in the heart of Florence.
For the second year, together with Giacomo Salizzoni of Orti Dipinti, we organized a day dedicated to children: a workshop with marble scraps and colored stones, a terracotta workshop, and finally a healthy snack with products from the garden.

Our workshop coordinated by Cristina D’Apollonio, designer, stimulated the children’s imagination as they created textured paintings using mosaics as well as leaves and twigs found in the Garden to draw magical mazes, buildings, little animals, small monsters, and much more.

Inspired by the particular color, shape, or surface of each piece, the children invented a story which they then depicted by gluing the various pieces onto the board.
In addition, there was a terracotta workshop with Raffaela Rizzo to create stoppers of various shapes and sizes.
We hope to repeat the initiative in the future, thanks to everyone who collaborated and participated.
