Winter 2020 trends are just around the corner. Discover what they are!

Autumn is already here. As we bid farewell to sunny summer days and slowly get used to autumn nights, we think about the colder season that will eventually knock on our door. What will be the winter trends for 2020? Last year we tried to give some indications, this year we start with a small preview: rattan furniture and earth-colored accessories will dominate.

Textured fabrics

Winter will focus on fabrics. Especially this year, we have realized how important it is to stay at home and feel comfortable, as well as feeling safe, pampered, and warm. These winter textures have stood the test of time and for many years have hovered on that fine line between old-fashioned and elegance. Now certain more significant fabrics (take a look at the Gwyneth Boucle Chair: it fully represents this trend) are considered right, spectacular, and classy. Timeless!

Rattan furniture

A trend that has been around for a while and shows no signs of waning is rattan. We personally love this look, also because it proves to be extremely versatile; it is the perfect balance between casual and elegant and since this trend is nothing more than the use of a classic material, even though it is trendy at the moment, it will most likely always be in fashion.

Sculptural shapes

Shape is taking center stage in furniture design right now. A sculpture, or a piece of furniture that evokes its mood, is truly in vogue and will accompany us through the home decor trends of the entire winter 2020.

Earth-tone shades

And we are really talking about all those tones that recall earth colors, from mustard to ecru paired with warm whites, which help them be less heavy.
We are generally very neutral, perhaps even minimal, in our color palette, but we like to bring in terracotta tones to “warm up” the environment.

Whether it’s art, a material, or a carpet, we love using intense shades during the cold seasons.

Natural materials

Another trend for winter 2020: bringing the outdoor air and nature “indoors”; this is a welcome change of pace for us.

This winter décor trend is characterized by details like raw edges, cracks, and wooden surfaces, ceramics, in materials like travertine and marble that are minimally processed. There is an authenticity behind this trend as it presents these features in their purest form. An example? Check out our latest sink offerings; they all have “character,” right?

Velvet furniture

In autumn, we are witnessing the continued interest in bouclé fabric (which started last year, but mainly only in off-white tones), but now we are seeing it in various shades. This makes us think that during winter there will be a boom in other colors as well, especially in rich velvets and mohair that add drama to any winter décor project.

These winter home decor trends will be seen everywhere soon, we are sure. Don’t be caught unprepared!
