Travertine is the preferred material of 2023 trends
Why is travertine so popular right now? Below you will find some information about travertine and how it can blend seamlessly with different textures and designs in many areas of your home, always resulting in perfection.
Travertine is a wonderfully unique material that can add a lot of character to a space that might be a bit sterile, and, not to mention, there is no stone more fashionable at the moment.
Like marble, the organic nature of travertine also brings a touch of quality, and particularly in areas where water flows (bathrooms and pools), it is a beautiful and practical option. From travertine kitchen countertops to bathroom walls adorned with travertine tiles, its warmer and more tactile palette makes it a welcoming choice compared to marble or cooler stones that use a more gray palette.

For your interiors, next year let yourself be captivated by the naturally earthy style of travertine.
Travertine is among the 2023 trends for materials
Praised by slow life enthusiasts, it will convey a sweet and sunny atmosphere; travertine colors range from neutrals to warm tones to mid-tones.
They are available both as slabs and tiles in various shades from soft and reassuring neutrals, including ivory, gold, beige, brown, rust, and peach. Typically, the color almost “ripples” across the stone, creating unique patterns that give travertine its timeless beauty.
What you won’t find, by choosing it, are bold-colored spots, a common trait of granite, or strongly contrasting dark veins on a lighter background, which is characteristic of marble. Instead, most travertine has tone-on-tone colorations and patterns.

Travertine also differs from granite and marble in that its surface is characteristically slightly pitted with small holes and indentations caused by carbon dioxide bubbling out of the stone, just as travertine forms near natural hot pools. Although these holes give it its rustic appearance, they tend to collect dust and debris when used as countertops or flooring. For this reason, travertine holes are often filled with an epoxy mixture, then sanded evenly with the stone’s surface.

This filling makes the travertine tile smooth and easy to clean without diminishing its appearance.
How do you furnish the rest of the house when there is travertine?
First, think about which colors best match the neutrals: at the end of this more neutral end of the spectrum, which includes white, gray, brown, and black, you can include anything, from wood to slate.
In terms of styling, take inspiration from outdoor life by introducing flora and fauna in gentle tones. Dried flowers are very trendy to bring the beauty of nature into your home all year round and will bring joy to interiors, month after month, without needing to be constantly refreshed, making them a sustainable way of decorating.
Contemporary interiors are often defined by simplicity, clean lines, and the use of texture, with a focus on space rather than things. Empty spaces on walls or between furniture are as important as areas filled with objects.
A distinctive feature is the use of strong visible lines; vertical or horizontal straight lines, or curved shapes: the line is found in architectural details, color blocks, ceilings and windows, and geometric shapes, sculptural elements.
