Training Courses for Architects
The Training Course was held last March 4th “Stone Materials in Architecture: marble, Pietra di Rapolano, and other materials. Use, production, applications ” aimed at Architects.
The course was proposed and conducted in collaboration with the Order of Architects of Pistoia and saw the participation of 22 architects.
The purpose of the course is to provide designers with useful technical information for the correct use and budgeting of stone materials.

The formation of travertine linked to the sedimentation of calcium carbonate is presented, from stone extraction to processing and usage examples.
The course aims to present the different stages of the production process, finishes, cuts, processing, usage suggestions in various types of work, and specification items.
In particular, special processes of Mosaic and Bathtubs carved from a single solid block of stone are shown.
Additionally, examples of projects carried out using travertine are presented.
