The Céline boutique in Miami
The French fashion house Céline obviously has several boutiques worldwide, the one that impresses us the most is in Miami, perfectly situated among other major brands in the Miami Design District, a reference point for luxury shopping.
The task of creating a new retail outlet for the fashion house was entrusted to Swiss designer Valerio Olgiati.

Given great freedom of creative expression, Valerio Olgiati chose Brazilian Pinta Verde marble for the exterior cladding, walls and floors. Inspired by the extraordinary natural design of its green-blue texture, the designer wanted to create “more of a tent than a boutique, where an internal universe can be imagined.”
The store is striking right from the entrance. Light marble with coffee-colored veins, the brand’s minimalist sign, and transparent doors through which the interior can be seen like a jewelry box.

The interior space is divided into two: the upper floor showcases the current collections; the ground floor is dedicated to bags and shoes and can be used for brand events and exhibitions.
Marble in large rectangular and square formats is used for wall cladding, floors and ceilings. The shelves are made of thin slabs, displaying shoes and bags. Some items are placed on marble parallelepipeds, while clothes are hung on brushed brass railings.

The architect’s description: “A marble shell is placed on an existing two-story structure. The facades, floors, walls, and ceilings are entirely made of marble.
The blue-green Pinta Verde from Brazil is exceptional and creates a wonderful atmosphere for Céline.
The exhibition space on the ground floor is a canopy, supported by concrete pillars. These columns connect the entire building to the foundation.
The virtual world exists in parallel with the physical. Above, there is a space deep within the marble, where shoes and prêt-à-porter are displayed.
More tent than boutique, this is a place where an internal universe can be imagined. ”
