The 5 Colors of 2019 in Pietre di Rapolano Collections

Leading companies in the color industry such as Pantone, Benjamin Moore, Dulux nominate what is called the color of the year.
Pantone was the first to choose the “color of the year” in 2000. After this, the The Pantone Color Institute – a division of the company that studies the influence of color on various aspects of life – from emotions to purchasing demand.
Each year a color is nominated – a tone already present in the Pantone color chart, which according to “color experts” begins to prevail in all spheres of life, becoming increasingly present.
Other well-known companies also propose their “colors of 2019.”
At Pietre di Rapolano, we offer, in the range of materials used for our works, marbles, stones, and travertines in many colors provided by nature.
If you like to follow trends and be fashionable, here is a selection of our products closest to the color trends of 2019.
Here is our very own color palette that conforms to these guidelines.
1. Pantone
Color of the Year: Living Coral
The tone that Pantone believes will characterize 2019 is Living Coral. As the name suggests, inspired by the marine species, it takes on its vibrant tone, but slightly muted compared to the original. Living Coral emits the desired, familiar, and energizing aspects of the color found in nature: invigorating and effervescent, it mesmerizes the eye and mind.
It reminds us of our Travertine in “Coral Pink” Vein.
2. Benjamin Moore
Metropolitan AF-690
For the American company Benjamin Moore, 2019 will be marked by the color Metropolitan AF-690, a shade of grey that, according to them, represents beauty and balance, a comfortable, composed, and sophisticated color: in the neutral spectrum, it refers to a contemplative state of mind and design. Non-aggressive, this sober yet charming grey creates a relaxing and impactful common ground.
Our “Crib Grey” sink is an example of a marble with a similar nuance to that proposed by Benjamin Moore for 2019. With this color, we can obviously create many other objects, sinks, and surfaces.
3. Dulux
Spiced Honey
For the experts at Dulux, the color of 2019 is “Spiced Honey,” a warm amber tone inspired by the beauty and versatility of this natural product: it conveys a positive mood. The tone can be relaxing and calming, welcoming or vibrant, depending on the color range it is paired with.
You will find a similar shade in our Travertine in “Becagli” Vein in the sink “Cono SC.”
4. Sherwin Williams Cavern Clay
Sherwin Williams, on the other hand, has named the color of 2019 “Cavern Clay.” T A warm and earthy tone, casual and refined at the same time. This tone evokes terracotta, but also the endless deserts of the American Southwest.

5. Behr
Blueprint
Blueprint is an almost chalky blue tone, described by the company’s “color experts” as a “refined blue with the right depth and brightness.” It recalls the ocean on a cloudy day, eucalyptus petals, slate roofs – many elements that make us feel good. Blueprint translates into Italian as “progetto,” as if encouraging people to realize their plans and desires in 2019, through color.
Among our products, a similar shade is present in Travertine in “Ice” Vein or in the “Ancient Ball” sink.
