The 2020 design objects to have according to Pinterest and Instagram (and according to us)
Our homes have become even more our sanctuaries in recent months.
It is therefore not surprising that everyone has paid more attention to their interiors. Pinterest has noted that the rising trend for 2020 is to support non-chain brands, showing that shopping habits are shifting towards lesser-known and independent brands.
As curious spectators, we have witnessed on the most glamorous social media (Instagram and Pinterest) the peaceful invasion of some items that have proven so popular they are already sold out. There are waiting lists for weeks to get them, and they sell out at lightning speed once they become available again. You might think it’s not worth joining a virtual queue: wait until you see them, you might change your mind.
The Ultrafragola mirror by Ettore Sottsass

The Ultrafragola mirror/lamp with its sinuous shape evokes a wavy feminine hairstyle and is the work of Ettore Sottsass for Poltronova. An iconic piece from the ’70s, it is experiencing a second youth and has become the latest obsession of many influencers. In various pastel colors, it is perfect for giving the famous wow effect in any room.
The Bold Sparkling upholstered chair

More serious chairs have been replaced with more extravagant alternatives. The one appearing most often in our feed is the Bold Sparkling in various colors: everyone wants it. It certainly gives a playful air to the environment where it is placed.
Raawii Strøm ceramic vases

We are not sure when it happened, but vases now make us happy. As purely decorative pieces or filled with flowers, they have somehow become an ‘it’ item to have. Raawi, a brand born in Copenhagen, created the Strøm collection which quickly made its way onto social media: the line includes vases, bowls, and pitchers in various colors and sizes. Although they have vibrant colors, the elegant simple design makes them ideal even for minimal environments.
The Togo sofa by Michel Ducaroy

The Togo sofa by designer Michel Ducaroy is one of our favorite must-haves. In color blocks and neutrals, this sofa makes us want to jump right on it. The price is on request, but knowing that you will own this beauty for years to come, it will be worth it. We are big fans of this model in the “raw” style and the yellow one, but we have also noticed it in the elegant brown leather version.
Oscar Piccolo pleated lamp

The pleated lampshade is back. You may have seen it at some grandmother’s house, and now it has become the lamp to have. Sicilian artist and designer Oscar Piccolo has reinvented this piece of furniture, and its elegant and wavy “hat” is going strong on Pinterest. So much so that the product is listed as sold out in the shop.
These we have presented to you are just some of the interior items that have quickly reached cult status: have you already joined the fan club?
