The Salone del Mobile 2019 gathered, as every year, the world’s design and furniture excellences: a month after its conclusion, we attempt to take stock.

Among the various emerging trends, one pleasantly surprised us: the use of marble in different areas of the home was a sweet “leitmotif” present almost everywhere. The marble effect, therefore elegance combined with majesty, is a sentiment for home decor that we have long known, and in recent years it has been gaining more space.

But now the trend has reached a new dimension: almost all exhibitors at the Milan Fair showcased at least one item in this prestigious material.

Marble was thus recognized as one of the protagonists of this edition of the Salone del Mobile, not only in the kitchen, or for floors or finishes throughout the house, but especially in the bathroom: this splendid material can deconstruct and reconstruct itself and is capable of constantly expressing itself in new forms. The result is a surge of inlays, artistic touches, where marbles play with significant geometries.
