Artisanal Furniture and Modern Design for an Exclusive Residence
We are pleased to present an exclusive project for the supply and creation of custom furnishings, born from collaboration with architect Gaia Busi. Located in the charming setting of Pian dei Giullari, on the hills of Florence, this residence skillfully combines rustic Tuscan charm with modern and functional design.
Our work focused on the artisanal creation of custom-designed furniture for the kitchen and bathroom, ensuring perfect integration with the aesthetic vision and color palette selected by the architect.
The Kitchen: Functionality and Enveloping Color
The kitchen was conceived as a bright and welcoming environment, characterized by the choice of a sage/mint green shade for the doors, a color that provides freshness and a sense of calm.
- Design and Structure: The furniture was entirely crafted in carpentry, using a solid structure of lacquered birch plywood. This choice ensures durability and resistance, essential in a dynamic environment like the kitchen.
- Style Details: The linear composition is balanced by side columns that integrate appliances and offer ample storage space.
- Lighting and Work Surfaces: Integrated LED lighting under the wall units highlights the work surfaces, creating a warm atmosphere and emphasizing the texture of the light Travertino in Falda, Modern finish used for the countertop and backsplash. The central table, with its Carrara White marble top and classic structure, serves as a convivial focal point, in harmonious contrast with the minimalism of the lines of the new cabinetry.
The Bathroom: Wood Warmth and Contemporary Design
The bathroom furnishing reflects understated elegance, focused on the use of wood to infuse warmth.
- Wall-Mounted Cabinet on Legs: We created a high-impact vanity unit with a dark and veined wood finish in Oak. The structure features full-width drawers and rests on minimal legs, lightening the visual impact and facilitating cleaning of the terracotta floor.
- Material Contrasts: The horizontal lines of the wooden cabinet dialogue with the vertical tile wall covering (white with brown/red stripes), creating a balanced and refined visual interplay.
Through our artisanal expertise and the use of high-quality materials such as lacquered birch plywood, Oak, travertine and Carrara White, we succeeded in transforming Architect Gaia Busi’s project into a unique and personalized living reality.
