City nobility meets modernity
In the historic center of Florence, in a prestigious historic palace just a few meters from Ponte Vecchio, a large residence has recently been renovated, located on the noble floor of the same building.
The project is signed by the Melucci and Nardini Associati studio in Florence, which, to harmonize environments with a classic yet diverse taste, chose to use travertine as a unifying element.
The choice of travertine
Pietre di Rapolano supplied the travertine used in the bathrooms and kitchen. Specifically, in the three bathrooms, Nebbia travertine (Color code PDR036) was used for the floors, the sink top, the bathtub top, and the shower coverings.
All pieces were produced and crafted based on the technical drawings provided by the designers to create a custom environment, where the texture of the stone takes center stage. The result is classic and precious, with welcoming and stylish environments enhanced by details such as brass faucets, gilded wood frames, and iron furniture.
The same selection of travertine was also used in the spacious modern-style kitchen. The brightness of the travertine on the kitchen top, the counter, and the floors complements the white wood and is enhanced by the natural light coming from the tall window.
