Precious materials for a precious home

Exquisite materials such as Rapolano travertine and Dark Emperador marble characterize this project, executed by the architecture studio B- Sign in Florence. The residence reflects the personality of its owner, a poet and art collector who has transformed his home into a precious treasure chest. His study is enriched by numerous framed portraits and marble busts placed on pedestals.

A collection of smaller artworks is displayed in the bedroom, connected to the upper floor by an elegant wooden staircase mounted on a metal structure.

Custom bathroom in Pietra di Rapolano and Dark Emperador marble

The bathroom of this residence has a classic and austere character, in line with the style of the home, due to the use of our TERRA CHIARA travertine (code PDR013) with clouded brownish veins from the Rapolano Quarries. The cladding covers the walls entirely and is also used for the shower tray, made with tiles of the same format 45.7×91.4×1.3, laid to direct water towards an oblique linear drain.

The layout of the bathroom is completely irregular in shape, which required studying various corner details, particularly during the installation phase.

The trapezoidal sink made of polished Dark Emperador marble with a marble-clad leg was designed by architect Enrico Bianchini, custom-cut, and then set into an existing niche. Its uniqueness lies in the non-standard, removable rectangular drain.

Outdoor flooring in travertine

Travertine was also chosen for the outdoor flooring, where the AVANA MIX (code PDR068) in format 30.5x61x1.3, with light tones and a pebble finish, was selected to cover the landings and steps of an outdoor courtyard and to create connecting paths between hedges and flowerbeds.
