Florence Campus of Gonzaga University

We are proud to present our contribution to the renovation of the Florence campus of the prestigious Gonzaga University. This collaboration, carried out in partnership with the Florentine construction company Gjana, demonstrates our excellence in supplying natural stone materials, from prestigious interior flooring to furnishing elements and exterior sculpture.

The project for Gonzaga University in Florence, an institution dedicated to international education, aimed to combine classic Florentine elegance with the functionality of a modern campus. Our supply covered a wide range of interventions, focusing on the use of high-quality marble and travertine. We attended to every detail, from selecting slabs for the classrooms to the complex artisanal creation of the commemorative fountain, ensuring that each element integrated perfectly into the surrounding environment.

The Interiors: The Elegance of Marble

For the classrooms and interior common areas of the campus, we supplied flooring in Carrara White Marble and Bardiglio.

These marbles, renowned worldwide for their luminosity and refined veining, contribute to creating an atmosphere of prestige and hospitality, typical of great academic institutions. The polished finish of the Carrara White Marble, in particular, enhances natural light and adds depth to the spaces, as can be seen in the large hall with library and meeting table.

The Exteriors: Travertine and Furnishings

The exterior spaces have been transformed into an oasis of tranquility and socialization, using the warm and natural beauty of Travertine, in the PDR068 Avana Mix selection.

Travertine Flooring: The entire exterior courtyard and walkways (such as the evocative side pathway) have been clad in Travertine, known for its durability and neutral tones that blend perfectly with historic architecture. The placement of dark pebbles in the center provides strong contrast and defines the central green area.
Furnishing Elements: We custom-made all the structural and furnishing elements of the courtyard, including the perimeter benches and the planters (such as the border detail with drainage grating). These pieces, also in Travertine, offer comfortable seating and frame the vegetation, transforming the courtyard into a true outdoor meeting place.

The Fountain with Commemorative Sculpture

The true jewel of the project is the commemorative fountain that dominates the courtyard in Carrara Marble. In addition to supplying all the Travertine elements of the basin and balustrade, our team was responsible for the entire creative design of the ensemble.

The focal point is the angel sculpture, created in Marble and entirely hand-carved in Carrara. This work of art is not merely a decorative element, but a symbol of memory and eternal beauty, representing the pinnacle of our artisanal mastery and the excellence of Italian marble craftsmanship. Its installation at the center of the fountain creates an emotionally and visually stunning focal point.

The Gonzaga University in Florence project is a perfect example of how the combination of the highest quality natural materials and expert craftsmanship can create functional, durable spaces of undeniable beauty.
