Harmony Between Material and Design
The Casa Vannini project in Poggibonsi represents a distinctive example of how natural stone can define the identity of a domestic environment.
Located in the heart of Tuscany, this project was a complete supply: we handled not only the supply of stone materials, but also the supply and installation of custom carpentry, including bathroom furniture, the complete kitchen structure and the dining table.
We integrated the warmth of oak wood with the refinement of our Travertine, applying it in different environments to ensure material harmony, a welcoming and lasting aesthetic throughout the home.
The Art of Living: Travertine Dominates the Bathroom Environment
The bathrooms of Casa Vannini have been transformed into true wellness oases, where Travertine PDR040 Zebra Chiara, cut cross-vein, is the absolute protagonist.
- Wall Coverings and Flooring: We used PDR040 Zebra Chiara Travertine to completely cover the floors and walls, creating a relaxing and sophisticated visual continuity. Its horizontal veining and warm tones provide depth and a sense of naturalness.
- Shower Trays: The material continuity continues even inside the shower, where we provided shower trays made with the same material, ensuring a modern and extremely elegant “all-stone” effect (as seen in the images)
- Solid Stone Basins: On the base of the oak wood furniture we created, the solid stone basins model Tonda Chiara (VA051CH) stand out. Carved from a single block of stone: the cylindrical basins enhance the texture and colors of the travertine
The Kitchen: Functionality and Tradition Revisited
In the kitchen, the combination of wood and stone creates a functional, bright space deeply rooted in Tuscan tradition, but with a clean and contemporary design
- Carpentry: The complete kitchen structure, including doors, shelves and built-ins, was supplied and installed in brushed Oak wood, providing a robust and warm material base.
- Work Surfaces: All countertops were executed in Travertine PDR 067 Light Blend, a lighter chromatic choice that perfectly balances the wood and creates resistant surfaces with great visual impact.
- “Acquaio” Basin: The centerpiece of the washing area is the solid travertine basin, our model “Acquaio” (TR206CH). This sink, with its design inspired by ancient rural basins, was custom-made, with a draining surface carved directly into the stone.
- Furnishing Detail: Finally, in the dining area, we supplied the antique-style table, whose imposing turned legs were carved in light Travertine, offering a wonderful contrast with the wooden top and visually connecting the living area to the stone elements used in other environments.
