Pietre di Rapolano at Milan Design Week 2022
This year again we are participating in the Milan Design Week which will be held from June 7 to 19.
At the Casa Museo Boschi di Stefano, located at Via Giorgio Jan, 15, the exhibition will take place What about me? – The Deconstructed Jewel (opening on June 7 at 6 PM).

The exhibition showcases ten very unique jewels, each distinct from the other, made with diverse materials, including recycled ones, yet united by the ability to transform from beautiful body ornaments to “furnishing accessories” of all kinds. Eleven designers working in pairs or individually, who know how to combine intellect—by looking “inside” things—with craftsmanship and passion, to create work made with heart.
The “deconstructed” jewels are displayed on a console, a table, and several marble tables by Rudy Faissal and Lit Studio, crafted by Pietre di Rapolano.

For some time now, we have been collaborating on various projects by Rudy Faissal and Lit Studio, creating some furnishing components intended for various home environments, artifacts characterized by skilled craftsmanship combined with the latest technologies.
The refined proportion of volumes is evident in our large Elmaz table, in Lilac marble, with distinctive colored veins in blue/purple shades standing out against a homogeneous white background: the interlocking two-dimensional planes evoke the cut of a diamond. And, despite the weight of the material, it is completely disassemblable and therefore easily transportable.

Marble and steel, characterize the XY table: two pyramids oriented in opposite directions, of different sizes and materials, the smaller one in marble supporting the larger one in reflective steel.
Finally, Dolmen is another small table, in stone and plywood, a special plywood (alternatively a colored crystal): three stones of different cuts, positioned in a triangle, with a colored surface connecting them.
And then the MM33 Console, in Vermont Green marble: four slabs seemingly placed randomly, actually the happy result of very complex engineering. Intent: to minimize material, unexpectedly enhancing its lightness.
And the “deconstructed jewels” by the architects/designers/artisans of DcomeDesign will be presented, on the top floor of Casa Boschi di Stefano, precisely set/resting on these extraordinary, marble tables/tables/consoles, in the setting of an interior where the signs of Piero Portaluppi still linger: from the bow window to the fireplace.
