Pietre di Rapolano at CERSAIE 2016

On the occasion of Cersaie 2016, Pietre di Rapolano created the installation “Leaves” for Ceramica Sant’Agostino.

For the prestigious company from Ferrara, an installation was designed, placed within their booth at the Cersaie fair in Bologna, and positioned in the gallery dedicated to their new ceramic slabs with a travertine effect.

The materials used for this setup are selections from the Zebra Collection, specifically Zebra Black [PDR055], Zebra Silver Grey [PDR052], Zebra Scura [PDR042], Zebra Chiara [PDR040], Zebra Gold [PDR044], Rosa Corallo [PDR079], and Terra Chiara [PDR013] from the Nuvolati line.

These refined selections, some characterized by the cross-cut, enhance the material aspect of the stone, allowing the typical linear and parallel veins of travertine to emerge.

The “Leaves” installation features sculptural elements with almost organic shapes, reminiscent of the structure and typical veins of leaves, creating a parallel with the stone’s veins. The apparent lightness of the forms is achieved through the processing of travertine, highlighting the infinite possibilities offered by natural stone. A project that reaffirms the interest in natural stone, which possesses unique value, personality, and aesthetic quality.

The installation highlights its great versatility, with which various elements for furnishing and decoration can be created, as Pietre di Rapolano has been offering for years: sinks, bathtubs, shower trays, stairs, fireplaces, and much more, in all the colors of travertine that nature provides.
