Nordic style for a villa on the Swedish island of Gotland
The project Hoburgsvägen 21 on the small Swedish island of Gotland involves the renovation of a building dating back to 1770. The island offers a stunning landscape and from this area, there is a splendid sea view.
The intervention involves the use of natural materials to give the interiors a classic feel without betraying the typical Nordic style. Essential environments, a palette of light colors, predominance of white, presence of wood, and furnishings resulting from a mix of reclaimed pieces and modern elements.
A style that follows minimalism but conveys serenity and warmth.

The house spans 250 square meters, with a large entrance on the ground floor providing access to the spacious equipped kitchen on the left and the living area on the right. The kitchen has a modern style, equipped with all appliances and a large dining table. Light enters from both sides, with windows or French doors letting in the morning sun.

The living room has two French doors to the garden and two windows on the sea side. The space is characterized by cloudy travertine floors in intense tones ranging from light to beige to brown.
The heating is underfloor, and in the center, there is a modern fireplace that adds atmosphere and creates a focal point in the room.

On the first floor, there are two bedrooms with services, and on the second floor, there is the master bedroom of about 48 square meters with a fireplace. The room has abundant natural light and a luxurious bathroom with an elegant walk-in closet attached.
The bedrooms have wooden floors while the master bathroom is entirely clad in travertine. The texture is rich and natural, decorating the bathroom with charm, featuring a shower, bathtub, vanity unit, and services.

The entire house was renovated between 2010 and 2013 with both interior and exterior renovations, creating a splendid oasis on the largest Swedish island in the Baltic Sea.
