The most commonly used, and almost always necessary, accessory in a marble bathroom is the marble countertop (or vanity top), which defines the sink area.
It can be a simple surface placed on a vanity unit made of the same material as the rest of the bathroom; but it can also be constructed by assembling slabs of marble to create a full-fledged marble vanity. It can also accommodate a sink, either a “surface-mounted” sink resting on top of it or an “under-mounted” sink, placed beneath it. In both cases, the sink can be made of marble or ceramic.
