Country-style travertine kitchen
The country style is perfect for the kitchen, the quintessential family gathering space. Natural materials are ideal for this rustic and welcoming style where wood and stone, traditionally used, easily match thanks to the wide range of available tones.
Stone, in particular, has always been present in kitchens, often covering walls and floors as well as being the material for the kitchen sink.
In this project for a house in the hills of Florence near the countryside, the kitchen was clad and floored with travertine selection Terra Chiara – PDR013 with a beige background and veined and spotted pieces, one of the most typical colors of Rapolano stone.

The kitchen revolves entirely around the solid stone sink that combines the beauty of the material and its traditional character with virtually eternal resistance and durability.
In our catalog, various types of kitchen sinks are available, from one to three basins. In this case, the model Country VA011CH was chosen, a rectangular travertine sink with double basin and grooved drainer that matches the masonry kitchen.

A unique piece that impresses not only for its traditional design but also for the unique shades of the stone that make each piece truly special. Country is a typical model that recalls cozy and simple country houses where the warmth of family life was palpable.
For the floors and coverings, a square format was chosen for the coverings and the mixed format Comp40 for the floors, with tiles of different shapes, all in the same color selection.

For a kitchen in perfect shabby chic style, perhaps take a look at this other post, it is important to choose suitable furniture with a table and chairs strictly in wood, perhaps found at an antique market or a store specializing in vintage.
Other essential elements are the large hood, textiles like patterned curtains, and the use of metals such as copper and antique iron for knobs, hooks, pots, and pans. All these materials manage to give the country kitchen an atmosphere of intimacy and warmth typical of country cottages.
