Every project is unique and distinctive; it is not only the materials that make the difference but also the tastes and preferences of the clients.

When choosing materials for the bathroom, aesthetic preferences are important, but so are functionality and usage needs.
Often the initial choices are also determined by the budget, as in this project where they started with a promotional material and customized the entire bathroom environment.

Simone and Annalisa from Genoa are a young family attracted by natural materials who chose the travertine flooring from the “Woodline” Maple Stone series for both the beauty of the material reminiscent of wood and the attractive price.

The bathroom is spacious and includes a bathtub and a shower. To best enhance the stone floors, it was decided to also use this material for the coverings, the sink (custom-made along with the wooden cabinet), and the bathtub top.

The Woodline travertine, with its parallel vein pattern, risked “overwhelming” the walls; therefore, the PDR013 Terra Chiara selection was chosen as the covering, in the “Rural” open-pore finish.

In this travertine with intense colors, the custom-made bathtub top was also created.
To complete the wall covering for a cleaner and more refined effect, a 3×3 trim in walnut travertine was chosen.

The bathroom cabinet was made to measure; the clients’ idea was to have wood with a very rustic finish, almost as if it were a surface carved from a trunk eroded by the sea and time. The matching countertop sink has a minimal design, as its name suggests: Foglio, custom-made in dimensions 100x50cm.

The shower enclosure is closed on three sides, covered in the same material as the walls, and the TK model shower tray was chosen, measuring 120x80x3cm, also in light travertine like the sink.

Each bathroom acquires its own “character” through the combination of different elements; in this project, the effect is very natural and rich due to the presence of various materials with bold textures.
