Pietre di Rapolano is the name of a material but also the name of our company; our history is inextricably linked to this stone, which is often used for flooring and cladding. Over the years, we have expanded to include the production of bathroom furnishings in travertine, as well as other stone materials.
We select travertines and marbles with care and great expertise, offering our clients a wide range of products that include elegant mosaics and uniquely designed sinks. Our products are crafted through meticulous workmanship that utilizes the latest technologies and artisanal know-how. Since early 2022, we have also been present in Lazio, 30 minutes from the center of Rome. This new location allows us to be closer to clients and collaborators in central Italy.
At our warehouse, you can find tiles, mosaics, and sinks ready for delivery to complete your projects; a wide selection of colors, surfaces, and sizes.
Our staff, with decades of experience in the sector, will be able to advise and suggest the most suitable materials, both in terms of technical, decorative, and economic characteristics.

A Tuscan Heritage
Despite the name, Pietre di Rapolano does not only work with travertine but also with stones and marbles from various origins. Travertine is still very present in our production because it is a typical stone of Tuscany, our region, used since ancient times.
Our passion for beautiful and high-performance travertine fuels our research every day. Our mission is to provide the best products in the industry to professionals and beyond: we want to continue to create and grow, innovate and share, pass down stories and advice to those who turn to us. For over four decades, we have been obsessed with every detail.
Showroom and Production
Ready to choose luxury comfort? Our headquarters are in Florence, a few kilometers from the historic center. In the showroom, you can view our stone selections and various products; different types of bathrooms, sinks, shower trays, bathtubs, and countertops are also presented here.
We like to remind you that all production is carried out in dedicated workshops, with cutting-edge machinery and highly specialized labor. The technical innovations we have achieved, combined with experience, ensure optimal results for every type of processing and project.
History and Craftsmanship
There is a craftsmanship story behind Pietre di Rapolano that goes beyond the mission of seeking the best stone selections.
Pietre di Rapolano has been supplying flooring and cladding for decades; the current management is the second generation of the Polvani family, who started the first business in the sector in the 1970s.
Since the early 1990s, the company has evolved into its current structure, specializing in various stone materials, particularly travertine: trading these has led us to work for many years almost exclusively in the United States.
At the end of 2000, the company launched e-commerce and began producing true bathroom furnishing collections, mainly made of travertine but also marble, granite, and basalt.
This is complemented by the marketing and research of all types of stone materials to create made-to-measure projects for large and small clients.
